Meet Christie Riemer, MD, FAAD

Dr. Riemer is a board-certified dermatologist, specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She lives in Ludington, MI alongside her husband and three children.

Dr. Riemer received her medical doctorate from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids, MI in 2016.

Following medical school, Dr. Riemer completed her intern year in internal medicine and 3- year residency in dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She has been active in research and innovation through publishing articles in peer-reviewed medical dermatology journals, presenting at national conferences, and belongs to several professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatology Society, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Prior to medicine, Dr. Riemer graduated suma cum laude from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California, with a bachelor of science degree in biology, graduating with the honor of “Top Biology Student” in her graduating class. After graduation, she spent six months working at a health clinic in Cote d’Ivoire, Africa before applying to medical school.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Riemer enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and two dogs, as well as traveling (having lived on 5 continents), and fishing and boating on Hamlin Lake.
